Fairy forts are human ringforts misnamed because people stopped remembering the hands that built them. In Rossacon a single-rampart fort measured about twenty-six and a half metres across, standing six-tenths of a metre above the pasture beside a farmyard. Long grass and forgetting have since sanded the edge, but the field still holds the shape of a house, fence and yard that someone lived in before the fairy label arrived.

In pasture, on gentle S-facing slope, immediately to SW of farm house and yard. According to local information, faint outline of fort visible in field. No visible surface trace of site noted, due to long grass. Recorded by Bowman (1934, 184) as levelled single-ramparted fort (diam. c. 26.5m) in T Scully's land, approximately 0.6m higher than surrounding field level.
