Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Roo is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Roo, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a gentle east-facing slope as a circular scrub-covered area measuring thirty-two metres east-west and thirty-one metres north-south. An overgrown flat-topped earthen bank and a southwest fosse define the boundary, though no visible entrance remains. Another rath sits two hundred and ten metres to the east.
On a gentle E-facing slope. Circular scrub-covered area (diam. 32m E-W; 31m N-S) defined by an overgrown flat-topped earthen bank (Wth of base 2.4-2.6m; Wth of top 1.9-2.2m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 0.7-1m), and a fosse (at SW: Wth of base 1.6m; D 0.4m) SSW-NW. There is no visible entrance. Rath (RO018-018----) is c. 210m to the E. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
