What is recorded here

Fairy forts are a local story, but the earthen ring in Reagrove is a real boundary marker, circular and about thirty metres across, hidden beneath blackthorn on an east-west ridge. The name suggests people once believed the land belonged to unseen neighbours, while the shape suggests humans made a place for keeping livestock, storing goods or marking a household. The bushes have taken it back, yet the bank still shows through like a forgotten sentence half erased.

In tillage, atop E-W ridge. Depicted on 1935 OS 6-inch map as circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m). Enclosure heavily overgrown with blackthorn bushes and inaccessible. Bank visible through overgrowth.
