Fairy fort in Rathbaun, County Mayo: an earthen ringfort, a rath, still standing where human hands shaped the land. Its banks may have held a home, a boundary, a place of warning or belonging, though no name or date has come forward to confirm it. The wonder is not in invention but in patience: the earth kept its shape while memory thinned, and the field still carries the weight of that forgotten life.
