Fairy forts hide human memory inside their own invented skin. In Raloaghan the ring measures thirty-seven metres across, holds a broken earthen bank and a widened southern entrance, and still stands just below the drumlin summit where sight and judgment both reach further. People may have lived there before fear or wonder renamed the place. The stones do not need belief to be true, but they accept it without argument.

Located just SE of the summit of a NW-SE drumlin ridge. This is a circular grass and scrub-covered area (diam. 37.4m E-W; 36.2m N-S) that slopes down to the SE defined by an overgrown earthen bank (at NNW: Wth of base 7m; int. H 1.6m; ext. H 1.7m) that has a field bank with an outer stone facing abutting its external face SE-W-NW. There is no visible fosse but there is an outer drain. There are gaps in the perimeter at NNE and E, but the original entrance is likely to be a widened entrance (Wth 5m) at SE.
