What is recorded here

Located on a shelf towards the bottom of the NE-facing slope of a drumlin. This is a circular grass-covered area (diam. c. 35-40m) defined by an earthen field bank and hedge S-W-N, which is reduced to a scarp (at E: H 1m) and hedge with an outer drain elsewhere. The original entrance is not identified. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Monaghan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of revision: 25 July 2017
