Marianne stopped her car on the wet grass and stared at the ring. It had no gate, no top, no explanation, only a shallow ditch and a bank that swallowed the sky. She walked the circle twice, measuring it with her boots, and felt watched though nothing moved. When she returned to the car, her phone had lost every signal and the engine would not turn. She sat inside until dark, listening to rain strike the roof like fingers. At dawn the engine started immediately, and she left without looking back.

Circular area (diam. c. 25m) surrounded by earthen bank with external fosse. Entrance gap not identified. Situated in very wet and ill-drained area.
