What is recorded here

That is a fairy fort, a ringfort of earth and memory. It stands in Racomane East, Kerry, a shallow circle with gaps at north and south, as if waiting for someone to choose the right door. The land inside slopes downward like a breath being held. People may have lived there, marked the sky, or simply avoided it because the stories said the fairies still owned the ring.

In pasture, at the top of a SW-facing slope. A circular area (26m E-W; c. 25m N-S) defined by a low earthen bank (Wth 5.9m; int. H 0.7m; ext. H 1m). There are breaks in the bank at N and S, either of which could be original entrances. A N-S field boundary tangentially abuts the bank externally along the E arc. The interior slopes down to the SW.
