Posseckstown holds a forty-metre earthen ring with two concentric ditches and an east-facing gap, yet local legend claims the fort belongs to fairies rather than people. A smaller circular mark cuts through the southern edge, creating a strange overlap that defies ordinary human planning. The earth may have shaped itself through forgotten life or magical play, but the visible lines remain clear enough to invite wonder about what actually built them.

Aerial photographs (GB89.AM.31 & 33) show the cropmark of a curvilinear enclosure (int. diam. c. 40m) defined by two concentric fosse features, with an entrance facing east. A third incomplete fosse is visible within the southern side of the enclosure. A second, smaller curvilinear enclosure (ME048-042----) defined by a fosse intersects with this enclosure at S.
