Half a field wall and a house in a ring, the fort in Pollaphuca still stands where grass and bog meet. Its stone-faced bank circles thirty-three metres, broken only by a possible entrance at the southwest and a later wall cutting through the northeast. At the centre, a twelve-metre mound hides a funnel-shaped drystone chamber, perhaps a dwelling, perhaps a kiln. Whatever it was, it was built inside the fort, not beside it, as if the ring existed to keep the centre secret.

In low-lying grassland overlooking bogland to S. Circular ringfort (D 33m), in fair condition, defined by a stone-faced bank from S through W to NW; elsewhere a scarp forms the enclosing element. Possible entrance at SW. A field wall cuts the monument at NE and ESE. Centrally placed within the interior is a circular earthen mound (D 12m) into which a funnel-shaped, partially subterranean, drystone structure (L 10.5m, Wth 3.2m) has been built; a curving drystone wall (L 1.1m) survives at E end of it: possibly a house or a limekiln.
