Fairy fort in Pluckanes West, County Cork. A circular earthwork, thirty-one and a half metres across, with an earthen bank almost two metres high. It sits on a west-facing slope in pasture, its rim marked more strongly from the south-east to the west-south-west. People called it a fairy fort, perhaps because it looked like a forgotten room in the hill, or because it resisted every attempt to explain it.

In pasture, on W-facing slope. Circular area (diam. 31.5m) defined by earthen bank (H 1.85m) SE->WSW; low rise elsewhere.
