What is recorded here

Half a century of mapping measured the circular fort in Pluckanes North before men levelled it around 1982. The earth forgot its own shape, leaving only uneven pasture where a fifty-metre wall once stood. A lonely stone still marks the eastern distance, but the fort has vanished into the field.

In pasture, on E-facing slope. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 50m) on 1842, 1904 and 1938 OS 6-inch maps. According to local information, levelled c. 1982; ground uneven but no visible surface trace of enclosure. Surrounding field fences removed. Standing stone (CO051-050----) visible c. 300m to ENE.
