Fairy fort in Pluckanes North, County Cork, is an earthen ringfort with a 1.4m bank, partly stone-faced, enclosing a circular area about 24m across on a gentle east-facing pasture slope. A shallow fosse cuts outside to the west, marking the boundary between the made place and the ordinary field. People may have lived, herded, hidden or worshipped there before the land was divided into ownership and forgetting. The fairies, in local story, took the fort back when human pride grew loud, leaving only a rim of soil and the memory of a door that no longer opens for everyone.

In pasture, on gentle E-facing slope. Circular area (23.9m E-W; 23.1m N-S) defined by earthen bank (H 1.4m); stone-faced in parts. Shallow external fosse to W.
