What is recorded here

Located towards the bottom of a gentle SE-facing slope. Marked faintly as a circular enclosure on the 1840 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. Subcircular grass-covered area (dims. 35.5m E-W; 33m N-S) defined by a slight bank SW-NW and SE, and by a scarp (H 0.6-1.3m) elsewhere. The entrance may have been at ESE where there is a slight dip in the perimeter. It is adjacent to an earthwork site (WA002-026----). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
