What is recorded here

Located towards the headwaters of a small W-E stream. A wooden flume (Wth 0.45m; D 0.15m; visible L 1.5m) carved from a single oak piece was discovered during drainage operations beneath a field bank, and it is still in situ. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 23 December 2008
