What is recorded here
Mundellihy holds a broken ring on a narrow ridge above the Deel. Its earthen bank has thinned to a low curb, yet the circle still marks a place where people stood apart from the field. The fort may have been a home, a boundary or a promise kept in soil.
In pasture, on N-facing slope overlooking River Deel. Circular area (diam. c. 23m) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.35m; ext. H 0.8m) with an external fosse (D 0.15m; Wth 2.2m). Bank is eroded and slight NE->E. Interior under grass but with some patches of scrub overgrowth; W half of interior higher than E by c. 0.35m.
