Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Moyne (tirawley By.) stands on a level hillock beside the Battlefield of Moyne, its low scarp merging into the slope like a forgotten breath. The oval top stretches nearly twenty metres, holding a standing stone in the north-east quadrant while Killala Bay gleams a hundred metres away. People may have gathered there to watch the water or mark a boundary, but the smooth disappearance of its edge suggests something older and less certain than human ownership.

In pasture, located on the level top of hillock in undulating terrain broken by rock outcropping and terracing. The location provides extensive views, particularly to N across Killala Bay, the S shore of which lies c. 100m to N. Immediately to S is an expanse of land traditionally known as the Battlefield of Moyne (MA022-023----). A flat, oval area (19.9m NE–SW; 15.6m NW–SE), encompassing the entire top of the hillock, is defined on the perimeter by a low scarp (Wth slope c. 3.5m; H c. 1.2m at NW). The scarp is poorly defined, and in parts merges almost seamlessly with the slope of the hillock, which is c. 3.5m in height.
