Moylough Beg holds a forgotten ringfort, its circular shadow visible only when crops grow unevenly above the buried ditch. A modern wall now cuts through the ancient line, yet the shallow depression still marks the place where people lived, defended themselves, or played at being gods. The fort has vanished from human memory but not from the earth, waiting for rain or drought to reveal its shape again.

In pastureland. Aerial reconnaissance in July 1968 (CUCAP AVM 42) brought to light the cropmark of a circular enclosure (D c. 45-65m) which was cut across by a modern field wall at NE and SW. No visible surface trace survives. Claffey (1983, 158-9) classified the monument as a 'possible ring-fort', and noted that a shallow depression indicated its location. There was a CBG (GA045-053001-) in the interior. A similar monument (GA045-030----) lay c. 250m to NNE.
