Moundprospect holds a thirty-three metre circular scar where human hands shaped earth into a defensive ring centuries before modern memory. The low bank and shallow ditch still trace the boundary of a place where people likely lived, watched the horizon, or fled storms. Fairy fort is the nickname locals gave the structure, but the shape and size point to a human home or stronghold rather than a mythical dwelling. The land remembers the effort of building and abandoning the site, even when the names of its occupants have faded.

Raised circular area (int. diam. c. 33m) enclosed by a low earthen bank and a wide, shallow fosse. An earlier report (OPW 1970) noted an external bank with traces of an outer fosse and suggested that the original entrance may have been at ESE.
