Fairy fort in Moneygaff West: a 32-metre earthen ring on a south-facing slope, old enough to predate human memory in local belief. The bank stands little over a metre high, yet it encloses a complete circle, as if marked out deliberately rather than left to erosion. Conifers grow inside now, breaking the openness the shape once had. In West Cork such rings are not dismissed; they are remembered as thresholds, places where the ordinary world thins and something else becomes visible.

In pasture, on S-facing slope. Circular area (diam. c. 32m) enclosed by earthen bank (H 1.1m). Interior planted with conifers.
