What is recorded here

Fairy forts are human ringforts misnamed by later tradition. In Monavarnoge, a twenty-five-metre earthwork stood on a west-facing slope until ploughing erased it. The standing stone and buried ridge still mark where people lived, defended themselves and left the land changed.

On W-facing slope, immediately N of possible circular enclosure (CO055-058----). Shown as circular enclosure (diam. c. 25m) on 1842 OS 6-inch map. Levelled; no visible surface trace.
