Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Moatfarrell

Fairy fort in Moatfarrell, County Longford. A ringfort, perhaps a dwelling or a trap for wandering thought. Two earth banks and two ditches enclose a circular space forty-five metres across on a northwest-facing pasture slope. The southeast entrance faces the dying light. Grass and forgetting have done their work; the fort disappears except in the pressure beneath the foot and the shape the mind refuses to release.
