Marked as 'Castle (Site of)' on the 1840 and 1927 eds of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a level landscape. This is a slightly raised and dished, grass-covered area (diam. 27m N-S; 26m E-W) defined by a fosse (Wth of top 10-15m; int. D 0.4m; ext. D 0.2m). There is no visible entrance. With a wide fosse or moat it may be a circular moated site.
