Fairy fort in Meenleana, County Galway: a broad shallow ring on a ridge above a stream, now mostly level grass. That much is clear. What is missing is the life that shaped it, the hands that dug or trimmed the bank, the reason it stood out from ordinary field. Size and shape suggest more than a mound; they suggest a boundary drawn on living land.

On N-facing slope of a ridge in grassland overlooking a stream to NW. Poorly preserved originally subcircular rath (N-S 52.5m, E-W 49m) defined by two banks and an intervening fosse from SW through N to E. Apart from a low rise at S, no visible surface trace survives elsewhere. Gaps at SW and E may be modern. Field walls cut the monument at NE and S.
