Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Lugateane is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Lugateane, County Roscommon, Ireland. The subcircular grass-covered area measures 37.5 metres east-west and 34 metres north-south, defined by a low scarp rising 0.7 metres. A field bank circumscribes the site from southwest to north on a low drumlin ridge. Two other raths lie nearby: RO017-019 about 150 metres northwest and RO017-021 about 60 metres east-northeast.
Marked as a circular feature on an undated estate map in NLI (ms. 19,022 (1)), and situated on a low E-W drumlin ridge. Subcircular grass-covered area (dims 37.5m E-W; 34m N-S) defined by a low scarp (H 0.7m). It is circumscribed by a field bank SW-N. Rath (RO017-019----) is c. 150m to the NW and rath (RO017-021----) is c. 60m to the ENE. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
