Lissireen, meaning ringfort of Irín, hid in plain sight for decades because the 1841 map forgot it while the 1898 edition remembered. A fieldbank now cuts the ancient circle, erasing the boundary that once held human life or fairy mischief. The soil keeps the shape even when the surface forgets it.

Lissireen/Lios Irín (ringfort of Irín). This circular enclosure, which is situated three fields S of KE021-030----, is not marked on the 1841-42 OS map. It does appear on the later edition of 1898 and is cut by a fieldbank running NE-SW. No surface trace survives today. The above description is derived from C.
