Fairy fort in Lissireen, County Kerry: a circular earthen enclosure marked in the NW field on the 1841-42 map, absent later, with no surface trace today. It may have been a boundary marker, a shelter, a child’s fort or a forgotten household ring. The land kept its shape long enough to be drawn, then took it back.

Situated in the NW sector of a pastoral field, this circular enclosure is marked on the 1841-42 OS map. It does not appear on the later edition, and no surface trace survives today.
