Fairy fort in Lissanisky, County Cork, Ireland, is a semicircular earthen bank stretching east to west, about one metre high inside. It marks part of the southern townland boundary on a south-facing slope, while the untilled interior measures twenty-eight metres east to west and twenty metres north to south. Local tradition calls it a fort, and that name still fits the shape: a low arc holding back a small, unbroken space in the working land.
