Fairy forts are earthen ringforts, and Lisnawully holds one on a rise in County Louth. Its circular shadow, thirty metres across, appeared in a drone photograph taken by Tom Conachy in July 2018, with a larger pit breaking the north-west edge. People may have lived there before the field took it back, but the land keeps the shape while withholding the story.
