Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Lisnageeragh (toberroe Ed)

Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Lisnageeragh (toberroe Ed) is a well-preserved circular rath, about thirty-eight metres across, defined by a bank and external fosse in level Galway grassland. People may have lived, hidden or marked territory there before record-keeping arrived, while later locals may have called it a fairy fort because the work still feels finished, deliberate and slightly withheld. The missing eastern fosse trace does not weaken the place; it suggests that even earth can disappear where memory stops looking.
