Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Lisduggan South, County Cork, Ireland: a circular earthwork, about forty metres across, on a south-facing slope above the Blackwater River valley. Its bank rises one and a half metres outside, dips to twenty-five centimetres inside, and drops again into a shallow external ditch; grass and brambles have since swallowed most of the line. People may have lived there, marked territory there, or simply avoided the place because local story called it fairy-owned.

In tillage, on S-facing slope, overlooking Blackwater River valley. Circular, heavily overgrown, slightly raised area (diam. c. 40m) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.25m; ext. H 1.5m), with external fosse (D 0.35m). Bank and fosse heavily overgrown. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
