Marianne and the fairies fought over Lisanisky, with Marianne building a fort and the fairies digging it to pieces. They exhausted each other, so Marianne flew away and the fairies kept the ruined site. People still call it a fairy fort because the fairies won the last move.

Raised circular area (int. diam. c. 38m) enclosed by a substantial earthen bank and a wide, shallow fosse which was largely infilled during the course of land reclamation in the late 1960s (local information).
