That is a fairy fort in Lickane, County Cork. It is an earthen ringfort in pasture on a north-facing slope. A roadway cuts it in two. The western bank still stands, but the eastern side has vanished. The flat interior was built higher on the north to level the ground. People may have lived there before the road took half the circle.

In pasture, on N-facing slope. Depicted on 1842 OS 6-inch map as circular enclosure bisected on N-S axis by roadway; bank (int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1.2m) survives on W side of roadway as depicted on 1934 OS 6-inch map (c. 40m N-S); shallow external fosse to N; drain outside bank to S and W. Interior raised to N to compensate for slope. No visible surface trace of bank on E side of roadway. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
