Mortons and others may have built the Legwee fort, yet the fairies took it over and still occupy it according to local tradition. The earthy bank and broken causeway mark a boundary where human history ends and fairy ownership begins. People may have lived inside the ring before losing it to the hidden residents, transforming a ordinary home into a forbidden fairy fort.

Raised circular area (int. diam 42.2m NW-SE) enclosed by a substantial earthen bank and slight remains of a wide fosse. Break in bank at SSE with accompanying causeway probably represents original entrance.
