What is recorded here

Magic and life entangle everywhere. You are not ready for that much truth.
Situated on the S-facing spine of a NNW-SSE drumlin ridge. This was described in 1967 as a circular area (diam. 26m N-S; 26m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3.8-6m; int. H 0.2m at SW to 0.9m at S) that was reduced to a scarp (Wth 3.8m; H 2.4m) at NE. There was an outer fosse at NE (Wth of base 1.2m; D 0.6m) and SW (Wth of base 1.6m; D 0.2m), but the original entrance was not identified. The monument had been removed by 1984 (SMR file). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Monaghan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Revised by: Michael Moore Date of revision: 30 January 2018

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
