Lackaleigh holds a faded thirty-metre ring where human hands once shaped the earth before forgetting the name. Two other forts watch from nearby, suggesting a small cluster rather than a lonely mistake. The soil has taken back the boundary, leaving only a shadow in grass that dares imagination to complete what time erased.
