What is recorded here

Fairy forts are no such thing. They are ordinary human dwellings from centuries ago, misnamed because people stopped understanding them. In Kylebeg, the remains form an oval rath on a hill slope, with a bank running from north through east to west and a scarp closing the shape. Cattle still walk beside it in pastureland, untroubled by the idea that fairies ever lived there. The name is a story people invented after they forgot the truth.
