What is recorded here

Fairy forts are human places misnamed because people stopped remembering they were human. This is a ringfort in Kyle, County Cork, mapped in 1842 as a circular enclosure about thirty-five metres across. Farming and forgetting have done the rest. What remains is a low rise in pasture, just enough shape to suggest that people once drew a circle around their lives and called it home.
