Knocknacree holds a forty-metre earthen ring where a shallow ditch still traces the outside edge. The entrance has vanished beneath scrub, denying easy entry to the flat pasture. People called it a fairy fort, perhaps because the hidden doorway and overgrown bank resisted human understanding. What is known is that the earth remains shaped into a circle, waiting for someone patient enough to find the gap.
Circular area surrounded by an earthen bank and shallow external fosse (max diam. c. 40m). Entrance not identifiable. Site is heavily overgrown with scrub. Situated in flat pasture land.
