Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Knockawuddy,ballynacourty

Knockawuddy holds a subcircular earthen ringfort twenty-six metres wide on a north-facing slope, its bank still standing from west-southwest through north to south while the rest has vanished under grass and forgetting. A roadway now cuts cleanly through the middle, treating ancient boundary as mere earth to displace, yet the surviving arc suggests people once shaped that slope deliberately before roads or fields rewrote it. The missing section does not prove emptiness; it proves change, with human hands and later wheels adding their own lines across the same ground.
