Knockaloura East holds a well-preserved ringfort where two stone-lined banks surround a central ditch, creating a defensible circle on a grassy rise. Inside, an oval hollow suggests a buried passage, while faint square lines nearby hint at a lost house. People may have lived there, feared the dark below, or simply followed the old shape of the land. The fort still stands because its walls resisted time, not because anyone remembered the names of the hands that built them.

On a rise in hilly grassland. Well- preserved subcircular ringfort (E-W 36.5m, N-S 34m) defined by two stone-lined earthen banks and an intervening fosse. Well-defined entrance at SE. Within the interior is an oval-shaped hollow (L 7m), long axis running NW-SE, the remains of a possible Man-made underground passage. Immediately to SE are the grassed-over foundation lines of a square stone structure (L/Wth 4m), possibly a house. A field wall cuts the monument at NE and SSE. Two ringforts (GA030-080----, GA030-081----) lie c. 100m and c. 200m to W respectively.
