What is recorded here

Knockagolig held a twenty-five-metre earthen ring on a gentle south-facing slope before ploughs and progress erased it. The 1842 survey still draws its circular lines, proving the land once shaped itself around human life. That disappearance is not a loss but a transformation: stone and soil released their form to become ordinary ground again. The fort did not vanish, it finished its work and stepped back from the world.
