Fairy fort in Kippagh South, County Cork, was a single-ramparted earthen ringfort about 40 metres across on an east-facing pasture slope, recorded by Bowman in 1934 with one-third of its circuit already levelled. It appeared on maps from 1842 to 1938, lost its south side to a limekiln, and may still hide an underground passage in its southwest quadrant. The fort is gone from the surface, but the ground remembers the shape of what stood there.

In pasture, on E-facing slope. Depicted as hachured slightly oval-shaped enclosure (diam. c. 40m E-W) on 1842, 1904 and 1938 OS 6-inch maps; disturbed at S side on 1904 and 1938 OS 6-inch maps where limekiln marked on 1842 OS 6-inch map. Levelled; no visible surface trace of site. Possible Man-made underground passage (CO031-03202-) in SW quadrant. Recorded by Bowman (1934, 65) as single-ramparted fort (diam. c. 29yd; bank c. 4ft H) on Mrs. Fitzgerald's land, with 'one-third of circuit levelled'.
