What is recorded here

No visible earthworks. A circular space 28m across, marked only by a field boundary curving around it and a faint entrance gap to the north. The ground inside is level pasture, indistinguishable from the surrounding field except for the shape of the boundary itself. Any bank or fosse has either never existed or has been completely removed by ploughing and grass growth. The circle remains as a human-made line in the landscape, not as a ruin.

In pasture, on NW-facing slope, overlooking Owennagloor River to W. Circular area (28m N-S; 28m E-W) defined by earthen bank (int. H 1.6m); external fosse (D 0.9m) SE->SW. Entrance (Wth 3m) to N. Interior slopes down to N; overgrown with clumps of briars and stumps of trees. Field boundary curves around enclosure to E, S and SW. Ringfort (CO047-001----) in view on opposite side of valley to W. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
