Fairy fort in Kippagh Middle, County Cork: a 39.2-metre earthen ring on a pasture rise, its shallow fosse and conifer-clad bank marking an old boundary between human field and excluded ground. People may have kept animals inside, excluded others from near, or simply refused to walk through that circle. The fort still works like a threshold, inviting imagination but warning against invasion.

In pasture, atop rise. Circular area (39.2m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (ext. H 1m) with slight internal bank height; shallow external fosse. Bank planted with coniferous trees. Interior raised above level of surrounding field. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
