Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Kilnamona

Kilnamona holds a rare double-ringed fort where two earthen banks circle a forty-two-metre pasture, marking it as a place of sustained human confidence rather than a fleeting camp. The outer bank has largely vanished except along one side, leaving the inner ring to carry the memory of a boundary people believed worth defending. Nearby cooking stones suggest food was prepared at the edge of that occupied world, while whitethorns still break the surface inside. The fort is no longer complete, but its shape preserves the fact that this ground was judged valuable enough to build, use and remember.
