What is recorded here

Kilnagun contains a circular fort, twenty-nine metres across, with an earthen bank broken on the south side and a stone face remaining on the north. It is no longer complete, but the shape and size are still clear. The fort may have held a family, stored food, or marked a boundary. Whatever it did, it did so in an open countryside where a round strongholds would have been visible from a distance.

Raised circular area (int. diam. c. 29m) enclosed by a substantial earthen bank destroyed from SSE-S-WSW, modified and incorporated into the field boundary from SW-WNW and faced internally with drystone masonry at N.
