Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Kilmoreen

Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

Kilmoreen holds a broken earthen ring where a sharp cliff replaces half the visible bank. People may have lived inside that tilted circle before the land took back the rest. The missing side does not disappear; it leans out of the earth like a room waiting to be remembered.
In pasture, on break in E-facing slope. Roughly circular area (35.4m N-S; 33.6m E-W) defined by scarped edge (H 0.6m; Wth 5.05m) SE->NE, which is best preserved on W side. Sharp fall away in terrain defines edge of site NE->SE. Interior, under pasture, is level in W half but slopes down to E elsewhere.
