Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Kilmihil (connello Upper By.) is a circular earthen enclosure, thirty-three metres across, hidden beneath thorn and briar on a south-west slope. The bank stands two metres high outside but collapses to half a metre inside, while a shallow fosse strewn with loose stones marks the outer edge. People may have lived there before the thicket swallowed the doorway, or the fairies may have simply waited for human eyes to forget the shape. Either way the ring remains complete, patient and uninviting.

In rough pasture, on SSW-facing slope. Enclosing element is largely masked by dense overgrowth but consists of earthen bank (int. H 0.5m; ext. H 2.2m) at ESE and scarped edge (H 1.6m; Wth 5.7m) at SW, with external fosse (D 0.35m; Wth 1.65m) SSW->WSW. These enclose a circular area (diam. 33m). Interior is covered by dense thicket of thorn and briars. Fosse is littered with loose stones. A field boundary runs along outer edge of fosse SSW->NNW.
