What is recorded here

Kilmeen holds a circular rath nearly twenty-five metres wide on a low hill above level pastureland. Two earth banks and a central ditch still mark its shape, though a later field wall cuts cleanly through the ancient line. The structure remains visible enough to walk around and imagine the people who shaped it long before the survey noted its surviving sections.

On a low hill in otherwise level pastureland. Circular rath (diam. c. 25m), in fair condition, defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The inner bank is visible all round and the fosse survives from SW through N to ESE. The outer bank is evident from SE to SW. A field wall cuts through the monument from NW to SE.
